Da oltre vent’anni mi dedico con passione e dedizione all’addestramento, conduzione e allevamento di Retriever. Dal 2015, ho anche l’onore di rappresentare la Svizzera come giudice internazionale.
Il mio percorso è iniziato con un Golden Retriever maschio proveniente da una linea dual-purpose, seguito nel 2008 da un Labrador di purissime linee da lavoro (USA/UK). Entrambi i cani sono stati addestrati e condotti da me per il lavoro di recupero nella caccia.
Nel 2013, si è unita alla nostra squadra Millershook Anna, una promettente femmina di classe Novice proveniente dall’Inghilterra. Non solo ha vinto il Championship Italiano 2015/2016, ma è anche diventata la fattrice capostipite del mio allevamento, Druid’s Peak.
Nel 2014, Anna ha avuto una cucciolata con FTCH Waterford Featherman (la A-litter), dando ufficialmente inizio alla mia carriera nei Field Trial e Working Test.
I miei cani sono davvero “fatti in casa” — allevati e addestrati interamente da me. Ho avuto il privilegio di condurre tutte e quattro le mie femmine al titolo di International Field Trial Champion.
Oggi, il mio gruppo è composto da tre femmine, di cui due gareggiano attivamente a livello internazionale in Open Field Trial e Open Working Test. Ad oggi, ho partecipato a oltre 140 Field Trial, ottenendo più di 45 piazzamenti nelle prime posizioni.
I Working Test sono diventati una parte fondamentale della mia passione, insieme al lavoro venatorio. Nel 2024, la mia femmina Juna – BlackVelvet of Druid’s Peak ha conquistato in Italia non solo i titoli di Campionessa Italiana e Internazionale di Field Trial, ma anche di Social Working Champion e Miglior Femmina in Field Trial. Nello stesso anno, Ginger – Red Sweet Siggy ha ottenuto il titolo di Miglior Femmina in Working Test Open e nel 2025 ha riconfermato il titolo, diventando anche Working Test Champion. Così, Juna e Ginger hanno rappresentato con orgoglio le migliori femmine Retriever d’Italia per due anni consecutivi.
Questi risultati sono il frutto di innumerevoli ore di addestramento, dedicando tutto il mio tempo libero e le vacanze alla formazione dei miei cani — sia sul terreno di casa che durante regolari stage di addestramento in Inghilterra, Scozia e Francia.
Ritengo fondamentale il confronto continuo con esperti trainer inglesi e lo sviluppo costante di nuovi metodi di addestramento, che ogni volta mi arricchiscono e mi ispirano.
Spinta da questa passione, amo anche giudicare i Working Test e condurre seminari. Mi entusiasma osservare il lavoro di squadra tra cane e conduttore, scoprendo personalità e approcci diversi alla risoluzione delle prove. Trovo particolarmente gratificante quando i principianti (e naturalmente anche i conduttori più esperti) accolgono con entusiasmo nuovi consigli e affrontano le sfide con motivazione — anche quando i risultati non arrivano subito.
For over two decades, I have devoted myself with passion and dedication to the training, handling, and breeding of Retrievers. Since 2015, I’ve also had the honour of representing Switzerland as an international judge.My journey began with a male Golden Retriever from a dual-purpose line, followed in 2008 by a Labrador from pure working lines (USA/UK). Both dogs were trained and handled by me for picking-up work in the field.
In 2013, Millershook Anna joined our pack — a talented novice-class bitch from England. Not only did she go on to win the Italian Retriever Championship 2015/2016, but she also became the foundation bitch of my kennel, Druid’s Peak. In 2014, Anna had a litter with FTCH Waterford Featherman (the A-litter), which marked the start of my career in Field Trials and Working Tests.
My dogs are truly “home-grown” — both bred and trained by me. I’ve been fortunate to lead all four of my bitches to the title of International Field Trial Champion. Today, my pack consists of three bitches, two of whom actively compete at the highest international level in Open Field Trials and Open Working Tests. To date, I’ve participated in over 140 Field Trials, with more than 45 top placements to my name.
Working Tests have also become a vital part of my passion alongside hunting work. In 2024, my bitch Juna – BlackVelvet of Druid’s Peak not only claimed the titles of Italian and International Field Trial Champion in Italy, but also Social Working Champion and Best Bitch in Field Trials. In the same year, Ginger – Red Sweet Siggy earned the title of Best Bitch in Open Working Tests and, in 2025, successfully defended her title, also becoming Working Test Champion.
As a result, Juna and Ginger have proudly represented the top retriever bitches in Italy for two consecutive years.
These achievements are the result of countless hours of training, as I dedicate all my free time and holidays to working with my dogs — whether on home ground or during regular training trips to England, Scotland, and France.
I value the continuous exchange with experienced British trainers and the ongoing development of new, progressive training methods, which never fail to enrich and inspire me.
Driven by this enthusiasm, I also greatly enjoy judging Working Tests and leading seminars. I’m always fascinated by the dynamic between handler and dog, discovering different personalities and problem-solving styles. It’s especially rewarding when newcomers (and, of course, seasoned handlers) embrace new ideas and tackle their challenges with enthusiasm — even if success doesn’t always come immediately.
Seit über 20 Jahren widme ich mich mit Leidenschaft der Führung, Ausbildung und Zucht von Retrievern.
Seit 2015 darf ich außerdem als internationale Richterin die Schweiz vertreten.
Alles begann mit einem Golden Retriever-Rüden aus einer Dual-Purpose-Linie. 2008 kam ein Labrador-Rüde aus reinen Arbeitslinien (USA/UK) dazu. Beide Hunde wurden von mir jagdlich auf Picking-Ups geführt.
2013 erweiterte Millershook Anna unser Rudel – eine Hündin, die als gute Novice Klasse von England zu mir kam. Sie konnte nicht nur das Italian Retriever Championship 2015/2016 für sich entscheiden, sondern war auch die Stammhündin meiner Zucht Druid’s Peak wurde. Anna hatte 2014 einen Wurf von FTCH Waterford Featherman (A -litter) und mit ihr begann auch meine Karriere in Field Trials und Working Tests.
Meine Hündinnen sind echte „home-made“-Hunde, sowohl was die Zucht als auch die Ausbildung betrifft.
Alle vier konnte ich bis zum Titel International Field Trial Champion führen. Aktuell besteht mein Rudel aus drei Hündinnen, von denen zwei aktiv auf internationalem Niveau in Open Field Trials und Open Working Tests starten.
Insgesamt blicke ich auf über 140 Starts bei Field Trials zurück — mit über 45 Platzierungen unter den vorderen Rängen.
Neben der jagdlichen Arbeit sind Working Tests ein wichtiger Bestandteil meiner Passion. 2024 wurde meine Hündin Juna – BlackVelvet of Druid’s Peak in Italien nicht nur Italian und International Field Trial Champion, sondern auch Social Working Champion und „Beste Hündin in Field Trials“. Ginger – Red Sweet Siggy qualifizierte sich 2024 als „Beste Hündin in Working Tests Open“ und wurde 2025 verdient zum zweiten Mal “Beste Hündin in Working Tests Open” und darüber auch Working Test Champion. Damit stellen Juna und Ginger in zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Jahren die besten Retriever-Hündinnen Italiens.
Um diese Erfolge zu erzielen, investiere ich meine gesamte Freizeit und Urlaube in die Ausbildung meiner Hunde — sei es auf heimischem Gelände oder bei regelmäßigen Trainingsaufenthalten in England, Schottland und Frankreich.
Der Austausch mit erfahrenen englischen Trainern und das stetige Weiterentwickeln neuer Trainingsansätze sind für mich unverzichtbar und bereichern mich jedes Mal aufs Neue.Aus dieser Faszination heraus richte ich unter anderem sehr gerne Working Tests oder gebe Seminare.
Es begeistert mich, das Zusammenspiel von Hund und Hundeführer zu beobachten, unterschiedliche Charaktere und ihre Lösungswege kennenzulernen. Besonders freue ich mich, wenn Anfänger (und natürlich auch erfahrene Teilnehmer) Tipps annehmen und motiviert ans Werk gehen — auch wenn nicht immer alles auf Anhieb klappt.
