​It’s a long long story about Anna and I’ll try to keep it short.

 

I’ve met her the first time I think in 2012 during a training session with Tess Lawrence and Alan Thornton. Actually we were searching a dog to buy for a friend and they presented us Paul who intended to sell Anna. Our friends decided for another dog. In the same period, I desperately tried to work with Druid, which was a mission impossible and was driving me crazy. Alan suggested to buy Anna… but at this moment in my life it was not possible to have another dog.

Things changed shortly after this and Anna still was in my mind. I contacted Paul asking if she is still available. This she was and so it came that in 2013 beautiful Anna joined my pack.

 

It was the first time that I had a really good dog with which I was able to work with. She was at a very good Novice level, had some good results in Open Field Trials in the UK and seemed to be one of the most promising bitches at this time.

Nonetheless, starting working with her I realized that there were still works to do, but she had good basics and we started to have results and a lot of satisfaction.

Some people believe it is an easy thing to take a trained dog and just start competing. Personally, I’ve experienced that this is not really the case. First, you need to get to know your dog, than start understanding where the strengths and problems are. And then… the fun starts as you need to work on the problems without leaving a part the training of the strengths. So it is not easy at all!!!!!

 

But, Anna is an amazing creature. Putting the lead on her it signifies for her to be punished. She doesn’t want to stay on the lead as she just wants to stay with me, on her own will. “So why putting me on a lead?” that’s what she’s asking when it comes to the situation where she needs to have a lead on.

She is the most easiest dog in the world, and who got to know her wants to have her.

 

When she just arrived at my home I’ve had some moments where fear came up that someone will just steal her…. Everybody just was so enthusiastic about her will to please, will to be with me, will to work and will to serve.

 

She taught me a lot, and I’ll always be grateful for having her and being loved from her so much.

 

La storia di Anna è lunga, ma cercherò di abbreviarla.

L’ho incontrata per la prima volta, se non erro, nel 2012 durante una esercitazione con Tess Lawrence e Alan Thornton. A dire il vero stavamo cercando un cane da acquistare per un amico e ci è stato presentato Paul che aveva intenzione di vendere Anna. I nostri amici tuttavia scelsero un altro cane. Nello stesso periodo io stavo cercando disperatamente di lavorare con Druid: era una missione impossibile e mi stava facendo diventare matta. Alan mi suggerì di acquistare Anna… ma in quel momento della mia vita sarebbe stato impossibile avere un altro cane.

Tuttavia a breve molte cose sono cambiate ed Anna era sempre nella mia mente. Ho contattato Paul ed ho chiesto se Anna fosse ancora disponibile. Lo era e così nel 2013 la meravigliosa Anna si è aggiunta al mio branco.

 

Era la prima volta che avevo un cane veramente bravo con il quale avrei potuto lavorare. In quel momento Anna era ad un livello Novice molto buono, aveva avuto qualche buon risultato nei Field Trial in classe Open in Inghilterra e sembrava essere una delle femmine più promettenti di quel periodo.

Nonostante ciò quando iniziai a lavorare con lei capii subito che c’era ancora molto lavoro da fare: tuttavia Anna aveva buone basi e cominciammo ad ottenere risultati e molte soddisfazioni. 

Molte persone pensano che sia semplice prendere un cane addestrato e cominciare a gareggiare. Personalmente ho potuto constatare che non è così. Per prima cosa devi cominciare a conoscere il tuo cane e poi devi cercare di capire I suoi punti forti e quelli deboli. Dopo di che… comincia il divertimento poiché devi cominciare a lavorare sui problemi senza tralasciare l’esercizio sui punti forti. Non è per niente facile!!!

 

Ma Anna è una creatura sorprendente. Metterle il guinzaglio per lei significa essere punita. Lei non vuole stare al guinzaglio, lei vuole solo stare con me a modo suo. “Perché mi metti il guinzaglio?” questo è quello che lei sembra chiedere in quelle occasioni in cui le va messo il guinzaglio.

E’ il cane più “easy” del mondo e chi la conosce la vorrebbe avere.

 

Quando è arrivata a casa mia ho avuto dei momenti in cui temevo che mi potesse essere rubata da qualcuno… tutti erano così entusiasti della sua volontà di compiacere, di stare con me, di lavorare e di rendersi utile.

 

Anna mi ha insegnato molto ed io le sarò sempre grata per la sua compagnia ed il suo immenso amore.
